Data, disparity, discrimination & outcomes
Assuming discrimination towards group X as the cause of different group outcomes is not right:
- Correlation does not imply causation.
- Disparity in outcomes does not imply discrimination.
- If discrimination is present, it does not necessarily mean it is effective and causing the disparity.
